Who We Are

We are a confessionally Reformed Baptist church seeking to faithfully order our life and ministry according to the teachings of Scripture.

From the earliest days of the church, Christians have summarized biblical truth in clear statements of faith. We believe it remains both wise and helpful to articulate the central doctrines taught in Scripture and affirmed by our church. Our Statement of Faith serves to summarize essential Christian beliefs, express our unity in Christ, and safeguard the church from doctrinal error.

Membership at Yeditepe Baptist Church requires affirmation of the YBK Statement of Faith. At the same time, those who do not fully agree with every aspect of our doctrine are welcome to attend our gatherings and learn alongside us for a season.

These statements are not merely the opinions of our church but represent what we believe Scripture teaches concerning the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith. They are drawn primarily from the historic New Hampshire Confession of Faith (1853) and are also informed by the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689). As such, this document reflects our commitment to historic Christianity, evangelical doctrine, believer’s baptism, and congregational church government.

By joining Yeditepe Baptist Church, members affirm this Statement of Faith and commit themselves to uphold its teachings through both their confession and their manner of life.
